Dex Studio is your desktop AI workstation for building deliverables.
Built to make knowledge workers extraordinarily productive. Turn messy files, notes, and raw transcripts into finished briefs, models, and presentations—100% private, on your Mac.
Q4 Strategic Growth & Expansion Memo
Synthesized from 4 unstructured local sources (revenue-dump.csv, transcript-all-hands.m4a, board-notes.docx, competitor-pricing.pdf). All numerical claims reconciled against the primary ledger.
| Strategic Initiative | Projected ARR | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Enterprise Desktop Deployment | $1.42M (+44%) | Approved |
| Native Rust Scheduler Expansion | $860K (+28%) | In Progress |
| On-Device Whisper Integration | $410K (+15%) | In Review |
Agents turn ideas into deliverables.
Accelerate execution by handing off entire tasks to Dex, while you focus on making high-leverage strategic decisions.
Deep Context Ingestion
Dex Studio reads directly from your local folders. Point it at a messy directory of raw data, audio recordings, Keynote decks, or draft contracts, and watch it structure the insights automatically.
- Zero cloud uploading: all analysis executes locally inside your macOS sandbox.
- Full document generation: outputs ready-to-share Markdown, CSV, Keynote slides, and PDF briefs.
- Audit-proof citations: every claim is tied to exact file line ranges and timestamps.
"Clustered 14 customer interview recordings. Extracted 8 friction points. Generated pricing elasticity model with 95% confidence bounds."
Works autonomously, runs in parallel.
Dex Studio's native Rust Swarm Scheduler dispatches foreground Subagents and background Sideagents concurrently. While you read a summary, three specialists are already executing the next phase.
Hand work to specialist teammates.
Pre-configured agents with persistent workspace memory, tuned system prompts, and strict tool permissions. They collaborate smoothly without getting in each other's way.
Dex
Synthesizes multi-source context, resolves contradictions across documents, and authors polished executive briefs.
Builder

Native Browser Automation & Capability Bar Polish
Native browser automation phases 1–3 bring Ego-Lite parity to native agents and MCP tools: interactive accessibility tree inspection, coordinate and element-based mouse actions, full keyboard simulation, scroll and drag-and-drop primitives, synchronous wait handling for WebKit async evaluations, and complete multi-tab lifecycle management. Active capability icons in the chat composer strip now render cleanly without container plates or drop-shadows. Includes Apple Silicon standalone DMG (Download v1.15.2 DMG).
MCP Connect Auth Flow, macOS TCC & Capabilities Strip
Marketplace connectors now feature a streamlined “Connect” flow — remote OAuth connectors redirect directly to their external auth page with deep-link completion back into the app, while API-key connectors provide live key validation with animated feedback. macOS TCC “Request permission” pairs system settings navigation with a draggable app icon helper window (and native prompts for mic/location). Active Apps and Tools now stack smoothly in the composer capability strip up to 6 icons, gracefully expanding on hover. Includes Apple Silicon standalone DMG (Download v1.15.0 DMG).
Hello, Dex Studio
The desktop app is now branded Dex Studio — window and tray titles, sign-in, onboarding, and every surface’s copy now carry the new name (the Dex assistant keeps its name, and nothing about your data or accounts changes). Dialogs now auto-fit any window size and the agent editor reflows its rail, preview, and header when you resize. Saving a provider API key in AI Hub now fills the model list immediately from the provider’s own registry — the Z.AI Coding Plan verified working on the OpenAI chat-completions wire. Includes Apple Silicon standalone DMG (Download v1.14.0 DMG).
Capabilities Overflow Menu & ACP Permission Override
The composer’s +N overflow chip now opens a flat Active list of every enabled tool and connector — live status, inline toggles, per-connector manage access — and the main capabilities menu leads with the same section. ACP sessions accept a composer-level permission-mode override, the agent editor gains a sticky Save footer, agent session rows render in a parent-child rail with marquee titles, the Dex System Agent carries the default-assistant highlight in the picker, the Subagents strip keeps a permanent “All subagents” chip, and AI Hub adds brand-color provider logos plus Qoder, bob, and a Z.AI Coding Plan preset. Includes Apple Silicon standalone DMG (Download v1.13.0 DMG).
ACP Stability & First-Party Marketplace
ACP prompts can no longer land in another session’s history (session-scoped message ids), registry npx agents gained a real npm-probed update path, and Model Trajectory now renders live ACP steps with honest attribution. The marketplace serves first-party plugins only (Composio and the skills.sh store removed) and the agent-browser CLI backend is retired — Browser Hand and Chrome DevTools remain. “New chat with agent” now deep-links every agent origin. Includes Apple Silicon standalone DMG (Download v1.12.0 DMG).
Native Runtime Wiring & Pinned Agent Menus
Connected the native Rust runtime end-to-end to media tools, skills, plugins and MCP connectors, restored the typed “not configured” media errors, and gave pinned agent avatars the shared right-click menu (unpin, edit, teams, remove). Includes Apple Silicon standalone DMG (Download v1.11.0 DMG).
Desktop Navigation Hardening
Resolved Next.js route client transition stability on sidebar chat switches and New Chat actions. Includes Apple Silicon standalone DMG (Download v1.9.1 DMG).
Native Rust Runtime Cutover
Replaced node child processes with a native Rust core engine. IPC message latency dropped to 0.4ms with 70% lower idle memory.
Parallel SwarmScheduler v2
Added durable background sideagents with lock-free task stealing. Concurrent runs now stream tokens independently into chat.
Whisper CoreML Hardware Acceleration
Transcribe 60-minute meeting recordings in under 45 seconds on Apple Silicon Neural Engine without sending audio bytes to cloud APIs.
